About Leslie Kay's Inc
Leslie Kay Drury, President
On Valentine’s Day 2000, Leslie Kay opened Leslie Kay’s, Inc. The small office was actually a converted closet, and since that day Leslie Kay’s has expanded to 16 states. She’s grown from a single file cabinet filled with the profiles of her first customers, to more than 10 file cabinets and a staff of six people. Leslie, sold her car to start the business, and for more than two years her only form of transportation was a motorcycle. She rode her motorcycle during rain and shine, wind and sun, and each day learned more about what her customers want and expect. “I love talking to people,” Leslie says. “The insurance business is my first passion, and I found motorcycling as my second passion in life. So now I get to talk all day long about insurance and motorcycles. What could be better?”
Leslie’s interests are many. Some are garden, sewing, and crafting. She’ll take advantage of any time she can get out on one of her motorcycles. “Riding epitomizes freedom,” Leslie says. “There’s an amazing sense of independence on a motorcycle. I know the feeling, and my customers know the feeling. That’s why we connect so well.”

David Drury, Vice President
Leslie and David were married on April 25, 2004, after meeting in October of 1995. The two enjoy riding motorcycles together, especially on their identical Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic 2003 bikes. “It’s awe-inspiring when we pull up on a pair of identical Ultras,” David says. “It really attracts a lot of attention, and the bikes really are identical. There are maybe two or three very small things that are different, and most people can’t find them. The bikes are set up so much alike that Leslie and I can switch bikes and not even tell the difference.
An admitted Harley-Davidson addict, David, is the staff’s resident motorcycle expert. An United States Air Force veteran, David worked as a Crew Chief on the KC-135 aerial refueling tanker. He started working on cars at age 16, and bought his first Harley-Davidson—a 1994 Sportster 883—in October of 1995. Since then David has averaged more than 10,000 miles a year on his motorcycle, David joined Leslie Kay’s full time in September of 2004. “I help out with everything in the office, from the computer maintenance to the purchasing of new equipment,” says David. “Motorcycle safety and rider education are very important to me and I keep up with all the laws.”
